Frequently Asked Questions

Over the weekend of April 7, 2017, we are updating your MVB Bank business banking experience as part of improvements to our core processing network. We are committed to providing the best banking products and services to help you achieve your financial goals.

  • Will my login credentials change?
    For most business users, your username will remain the same. Due to duplicate usernames, we have had to assign new usernames to a handful of users.  If your username is changing, you will receive a secure email from us prior to April 10, 2017. 
  • What is a Company Administrator?
    Your company has a designated user who will manage access and permissions for all other user’s setup under your company. Your company administrator will receive additional information on how to perform administrative tasks.
  • When can I login to the updated Business Online Banking?
    You will be able to login for the first time on April 10, 2017 after 8:00 AM EST.
  • How do I know if my browser version is compatible?
    We support the current and prior major releases of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Please note that utilizing older browsers may result in disabled functionality or limited access to services. It is not recommended to use Compatibility View with Internet Explorer.

  • What is a One Time Pin (OTP)?
    One Time Pin will be replacing the hardware security token codes for Wire and ACH submission. When you login for the first time, you will be asked to provide a phone number where you can receive text messages. When submitting Wire and ACH, a unique One Time Pin (OTP) code will be sent to the designated number via a text message. You will put this number in the system to authorize your transaction.
  • I didn’t receive my OTP via text message, is there another way to receive the pin?
    Please call us at 844-MVB-BANK and we can provide an unique OTP for your transaction.
  • Do I need to return my hardware token to the bank?
    No. Unless you are using hardware token at login (optional) you can simply dispose of your hardware token by typical trash disposal means.
  • Will I need to re-establish scheduled and recurring transfers, Wire and ACH transactions?
    No.Your existing scheduled transfers, Wire and ACH transactions will remain intact. However,it is best to double check your scheduled items to be sure they are correct.
  • Will my Wire and ACH templates be available after the upgrade?
    Yes. Wire and ACH templates created before April 6, 2017 will be available after the upgrade.
  • Will my Wire and ACH history be available after the upgrade?
    Yes! Your Wire and ACH transaction history will be available for review in our upgraded platform.
  • Will I have to setup my Alerts after the upgrade?
    Yes. With our new and improved Business Online Banking, alert capabilities are different. We want you to get the most out of our enhancements and encourage you to visit the Alerts tab to choose your alerts and where you would like to have them delivered.
  • Will I continue to receive my Online Statements in Business Online Banking?
    Yes. However, your statements may not be available for immediate viewing as we continue to move them to the upgraded system after April 10, 2017. If you need a statement in the mean time, please contact us at 844- MVB-BANK. Once statements are updated in the new system, you will have 18 months of statement history available.
  • Will my mobile app automatically update?
    No. On April 10, 2017 you will need to delete our MVB Biz Mobile app and download the new MVB Business Mobile app from the app store. We know you will love our new app!
  • What about QuickenTM and QuickBooksTM? Will they still work with the updated system?
    If you utilize financial software such as QuickenTM or QuickBooksTM, there are some additional steps needed to ensure you can continue downloading transactions from the new Business Online Banking system. Initially, please be sure to download transactions no later than Thursday, April 6, 2017. Visit www.mvbbanking.com for more information on what to do after the upgrade!
